Wycliffe Well is known as the UFO capital of Australia, becoming a tourist destination attracting people interested in learning about flying objects and aliens.
This unique area is located off the Stuart Highway, between the towns of Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. Wycliffe Well is described as a small settlement, filled with signs welcoming aliens or filled with articles about the existence of strange creatures from extraterrestrials.
Indigenous people believe that Wycliffe Well is the most visited place in Australia by UFOs (unidentified flying objects) because it is located on the earth’s energy line.
One of the highlights here is Wycliffe Well Holiday Park, which is set on 60 hectares of land and has accommodations for visitors as well as a restaurant. The main theme of this place as well as the decoration are all about a single theme: UFOs.
During World War II, Wycliffe Well became a central garden market to serve the army. When the highway was built through here after the war, many shops sprang up to provide fuel for passing vehicles or necessities for tourists. Also since World War II, Wycliffe Well began to receive attention when strange stories continuously occurred. There are even many witnesses who admitted to seeing unidentified objects appear here every night. These stories are collected into a book.
This book was once kept in front of the counter of a local restaurant for anyone passing by to read, but was stolen in 1990. Today, you can see a new book, but that is no longer the original.
Visitors coming here can still hear many mysterious stories told by people who believe in UFOs, and if you are interested, you can camp here for a few nights. Who knows, in a rare moment in life, you will accidentally encounter aliens visiting Wycliffe Well.
