Discovery of alien spacecraft on an island near Antarctica

A strange object suspected to be an alien spacecraft has been discovered on an island very close to Antarctica. What is that? Are they real aliens?

In 2004, technology giant Google acquired Keyhole’s Earth Viewer application. Then, they released a version of Google Earth – a software that allows the entire globe to be simulated using images obtained from satellites.

With Google Earth, people have discovered countless interesting things around the world with just an internet-connected device. And among them, there are objects that make the whole community stir, because they seem to be related to… aliens.

Recently, netizens passed around evidence of such an object. These are photos and videos of a strange object shaped like a spaceship in Hollywood fantasy movies.

It is known that the object was discovered near Antarctica, on a very remote island called South Georgia in the South Atlantic Ocean. There are only 20 people living on the island.

The evidence was conducted by Secureteam10 – a website specializing in “hunting” aliens. They used Google Earth to locate and zoom in on the “ship” located at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, on the slopes of Mount Paget.

Secureteam10 posted the video on YouTube, then immediately received hundreds of thousands of views and comments. In particular, those who believe in “conspiracy theories” are very excited at the prospect of proving that aliens are real, and that they have come to Earth a long time ago.

And the answer of science

It’s unclear whether aliens are real or not, but I sincerely condolences to those who are too excited about this object. Because Dr. Richard Waller, a geography expert at Keele University (UK), has given a more reasonable explanation. And it’s definitely not alien.

Specifically, according to Waller, what many people consider a “spaceship” is actually just a trace of a large avalanche. The snow was stuck to a rock, which was just a sheet of ice created by the glacier. This is a reasonable conclusion, because the location of the object’s discovery also coincides with the snow and ice accumulation area of Novosilski Glacier.

“To me, this object is related to a very large avalanche on a neighboring mountain” – Waller shared.

“A hanging iceberg fell, and the avalanche carried it down the mountainside. This could have been a giant iceberg, as the surrounding tracks show it slid quite a distance.”

That’s it, there are no aliens after all. The work of proving that aliens are real will have to rely on future scientists.
