Guard Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz said he will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a hamstring problem.
Clarkson has missed four of the Jazz’s last eight games due to a bruιse in his right thigh and a variety of illnesses.
Before the team’s game against the New York Knicks, the Jazz provided an update on the guard’s condition.
After tumbling into the bleachers during Utah’s game against New Orleans on November 27, Jordan Clarkson suffered a contusion on his right thigh. After the game against Oklahoma City last night, he was still having hamstring pаin. More magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed that Clarkson had a strain in his right bicep femoris. In two weeks, he will get another assessment.
Clarkson Having Trouble Since suffering a hamstring ιnjury on November 25, Clarkson has been having trouble playing. He missed his season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans on November 25.
The guard shot 19 percent from three and 27 percent from the floor in his last four games, averaging just 10.5 points per game. In 21 minutes against Oklahoma City, he was also a team-worst -25.
With the Jazz starting the 2023–24 season in bad health, Clarkson’s ιnjury is the most recent in a long line of setbacks.
Mid-November saw the absence of seven straight games for second-year center Walker Kessler, eight straight games for All-Star Lauri Markkanen, and at least eight games for Clarkson before he is reevaluated.
At 7-16, the Jazz have the fourth-worst record in the Western Conference and are 5.5 games out of the final Play-In Tournament place, which is 10th.
